I’m a Mac owner.  This is a sad day for me.  There is a Mac Mini to be shipped out to me within the next day or so.  I’m going to use it as a webserver, media server, and to develop some sweet iPhone apps.  I am tres embarrassed.

Won 20p on the horse racing in England today.  Was trying to get rid of all of my change, but it was all back to me by the end of the day.  Son of a bitch.

So it looks like Dave and I have figured out what we’re going to be programming for our first app.  I’m kind of excited about it.  I think it could be a really fun, neat project.  There’s already at least one app out there like it, but ours is going to have some more features and such.  No spilling the beans yet on what it is though.  I’ve ordered a couple books on iPhone programming.  It might be kind of good to get me back into some programming.  I’ve got the degree, and I didn’t hate the entire 4.5 years I was taking classes so this might be the kick in the ass I need to get out of landscaping.  I enjoy the landscaping, but don’t really feel like doing it for the next 20+ years…

Watching TSN’s TradeCentre right now.  Streaming it to the tv.  It’s been pretty boring so far as there’s only been one trade, but whatever.  It’s nice to watch TSN again, even if it is only TradeCentre.  Whatever.  It’s kind of funny reading the message board for the Penguins and how much everybody there wants to get rid of Staal.  It’s not going to happen.  At least not for the reasons that they’re saying (he sucks).  If it happens it’s because he’s getting paid $4 million for 3rd line minutes.  He just doesn’t seem to click on the wing with either Sid or Malkin.  Ah well.  Looks like Calgary just made a trade to get Jordan Leopold back.  Meh.  Nothing special about him.

Welp, looks like my plans to go see some St. Michael’s places are going to disappear.  It would cost over £ 120 to do the trip, and that doesn’t include the cost of a hotel either.  So looks like that plan is gone.  The only really feasible way to do it is wait until a day or two before I fly out and not have to do a return trip to Blackpool.  But then I’m travelling solo on trains and planes for about 3 straight days, so I probably don’t want to do that either.  Who knows.  Was thinking of maybe doing a road trip with Dave and Amy, but now Dave’s car is fucked so that’s out of the picture too.  We shall see I suppose.

Went to the casino Friday night, after a night of beer and karaoke at the Legion, followed by more karaoke and beer at another place in Blackpool.  Pretty good time.  Stumbled home around 5 am, so that’s the sign of an epic night.  Went to the legion again Sunday to watch Man U win the Carling cup and get Johnny drunk.  Played a couple games of snooker and got my ass kicked.

Pittsburgh’s been playing pretty well of late.  They snuck back into the playoffs yesterday having won 3 in a row.  Hopefully they can keep playing like this and make it back in.  I’ve got no delusions of them making it to the finals again, but at least the 2nd round would be acceptable.

Well, I’ve uploaded all my xanga posts using a script, but it screwed a bunch of them up.  A bunch of them it skipped the actual post and just did what i was listening to at the time.  Which sucks.  So now either I try and do it all using a different script (and paying $4, and installing AMP on my laptop to do this) or I can just fix the ones it screwed up on, but that involves reading them all and cutting and pasting the missing entries.  We’ll see how bored I get in the next few days.

Might plan on doing a day (or two) trip to somewhere.  Thinking Gloucester and Glastonbury to see a couple different things with the name St. Michael on it.

Just upgraded to WordPress 2.7.  Looks like I’ll have to go through and re-tag everything instead of using categories.  Should be a bit better for indexing I’m guessing.  Also need to finish copying my Xanga blog over here.  That’s a good project for tomorrow I think.  That and messing around with the rest of my Mali photos.

Sitting in here in St. Annes playing a fair bit of GTA IV:  The Lost and Damned.  Pretty good expansion pack.  They even added new music.  And a penis in a cutscene that is completely unnecessary.  The penis, not the cutscene.

Yeah that’s right.  I’m back baby.  Sweet trip from Calgary.  Sat in Toronto for a couple hours b/c of a missed flight.  But that was the worst part.  Oh yeah, and the England train system is a complete rip-off.  £ 90 from London to Blackpool.  Bastards.

Also, don’t remember writing that post below.  Just throwing that out there.

On my way to Grand Rapids, MI tomorrow morning.  Should make for a good time.  Heading back to Calgary Monday morning.

Seriously considering heading back to England for a month or so when I get back to Calgary.  Flights are really cheap right now, and I’ve got nothing going on in Calgary for the next couple months.  We’ll see.

After 6 awesome weeks of travelling the world, I’m back in Canada.

Saw family in Mali for a month, then went to England to visit some friends for two weeks.  Didn’t want to leave either place.  Hopefully the Brit’s have been convinced to move to Canada…….

Next weekend, Grand Rapids.
